Hello, everyone. I’m here to tell you about our school’s nurse’s office. The nurse’s office is a place that helps us stay healthy.  When we don’t feel well, the school nurse takes care of us with kindness and patience. The nurse’s office does many things. Here are some of them: 

• It helps with school health care.

• It gives first aid when students get hurt.

• It checks our height, weight, and eyesight.

• It teaches us about eye care and dental care.

• It helps with preventing sickness and vaccines.

• It keeps health records and reports.

• It also plans health activities for students.

Hi everyone! Welcome to Ershui Train Station!

This train station is in Ershui. It's an old station, built a long, long time ago in 1933.

The train tracks were first built to help with a big project at Sun Moon Lake. Later, trains here carried wood. So, this station was very, very busy!

Today, Ershui Station is special! It's the start of the Jiji Line, which is a fun train for tourists! It's also part of the main train lines in Taiwan.

A long time ago, there were small sugar trains here too! They helped carry sugar and made Ershui a busy and important town.

There used to be a special bridge here that went over the train tracks. But trains got bigger and electric, so the bridge was too low and they had to take it down. That's a little sad.

Ershui was once a very important and busy place for trains. Some old houses where train workers lived are still here. They tell us cool stories about Ershui's past!

這個火車站在二水。它是一個很老的車站，在很久很久以前的1933年就建好了。

這裡以前有一座特別的橋，它會從火車軌道的上方經過。但是火車後來變得更大、也變成電力的了，所以那座橋不夠高，他們只好把它拆掉了。這有點讓人難過。

二水曾經是一個對火車來說非常重要又忙碌的地方。一些以前火車員工住的老房子還在這裡。它們告訴我們關於二水過去的酷故事！

Hi everyone! Today, I want to tell you about a special temple in our town, Ershui. It's called Ande Temple!

A long, long time ago, people came to Ershui to farm. They brought Mazu with them. They prayed to her for peace and safety.

Ande Temple has been here for a very long time, and many people love it. It's like the heart of Ershui for many of us.

Every year, there are big parties here on Mazu's birthday (the 22nd day of the third lunar month) and on the temple's birthday (the 19th day of the tenth lunar month). It gets very, very busy!

I've visited Ande Temple many times with my family. We go to pray for good health and safety.

Ande Temple also does good things for our town! It helps students with scholarships and gives things to our schools, police, and fire station.

This shows us the temple's big love and kindness. We can all learn from that!

If you visit Ershui, I hope you can come and see our beautiful old temple building. It's very special!

在很久很久以前，人們來到二水耕種。他們把媽祖帶來這裡。大家向媽祖祈求平安和保佑。

安德宮已經在這裡很久了，很多人都喜歡它。對我們許多二水人來說，它就像二水的心臟一樣重要。

每年的媽祖生日（農曆三月二十二日）和安德宮的慶祝日（農曆十月十九日），這裡都會舉辦盛大的活動。那時候會非常、非常熱鬧！

我跟家人也來過安德宮很多次了。我們來這裡祈求身體健康和平安。

安德宮也為我們的城鎮做了很多好事！它會提供獎學金幫助學生，也會贈送物品給我們的學校、警察局和消防隊。

這展現了安德宮的大愛和善良。我們都可以從中學習！

Hi everyone! Today, let's learn about 28 Water Park!

This park is right next to the Guanghua Community Center. It opened on February 28, 2018.

This park is super fun! It has swings, slides, and seesaws for you to play on.

And guess what? It also has two big, old steam trains and a cool military airplane!

One of the trains is called CT278. It came all the way from Japan. It was Taiwan's first super-fast passenger train! It even carried the president long ago. People called it the "Queen of Steam" because it was so special.

The other train is called No. 345. This one came from Belgium. It was a "sugar train" that carried sweet sugar! It stopped running when more roads were built.

These two trains are very different in size. One is big, and one is smaller! They stand next to each other, and it's really cool to see them!

28 Water Park is a great place to visit in Ershui. It has history, fun, and beautiful nature all in one spot!

這個公園就在光化社區活動中心的旁邊。它是在2018年2月28日開放的。

這個公園超級好玩！它有盪鞦韆、溜滑梯和翹翹板，可以讓你們盡情玩耍。

你們知道嗎？它還有兩台又大又老的蒸汽火車頭和一架很酷的軍用飛機喔！

其中一台火車頭叫做 CT278。它從日本遠道而來。它是臺灣第一輛跑得很快的載客火車！以前它還載過總統呢。大家叫它「蒸汽女王」，因為它非常特別。

另一台火車頭叫做 345號。這台火車頭來自比利時。它以前是載著甜甜的糖的「糖業火車」喔！後來因為有了更多馬路，它就停止行駛了。

這兩台火車頭的大小很不一樣。一台很大，一台比較小！它們並排站在一起，看起來真的好酷！

二八水水公園是來二水一個很棒的地方。它把歷史、樂趣和美麗的自然風光都集合在一個地方！

Hi everyone! Let's talk about a super pretty tree in Ershui called the Pink Shower Tree!

This tree came to Taiwan about 70 years ago. People in Ershui really like it because its green leaves are shiny and beautiful.

The Pink Shower Tree grows super fast and doesn't need much water. It helps make our streets and parks greener and more beautiful!

In springtime, these trees get lots and lots of pink flowers! They look like a pink cloud! Many people come to Ershui just to see these pretty flowers. It's now a very famous spot for visitors!

These trees make Ershui even more lovely and help our local shops.

But because they grow so fast, we need to make sure they don't take too much space from other plants.

Hi everyone! Today, I'm super excited to tell you about our beautiful Ershui Bicycle Path!

This bike path is about 7 kilometers long. The best part? It goes right next to the Jiji train line!

You can start your bike ride right at the Ershui Train Station. You can even rent a bike nearby. As you ride, you'll be cycling next to the train tracks. Sometimes, a big train might zoom by!

The path is flat and super smooth, so it's easy to ride. Look for cute little monkeys on the streetlights! It's a great place for families and friends to ride bikes together.

Along the way, you'll see cool places like the old Babao Canal and Yuanquan Train Station. The path ends at the Ershui Eco-Education Center.

The views are amazing! You'll see pretty pink, yellow, and white flowers and green rice fields that look like a beautiful painting!

The Ershui Bicycle Path is a fantastic place for a bike ride. It's full of nature and fun. If you love riding bikes, you'll really love it here!

Hi everyone! Let's visit the Ershui Eco-Education Center!

This special place is in Ershui, where the weather is just right for many plants and animals. You can see tall trees, bushes, and ferns growing here. Many wild animals live in this area, especially Taiwan Macaques, which are a type of monkey!

This center used to be a place where people watched monkeys. Now, it's a special home to protect wild animals and teach us how to take care of nature.

Inside the center, you can learn all about animals and nature. There's a cool area that looks just like a monkey's home in the forest, with monkey models and fun games you can play. Friendly helpers are there to tell you all about it!

Outside, you can walk on a butterfly path to see pretty butterflies. There's also an outdoor classroom where you can learn more about nature!

The Ershui Eco-Education Center is a great place to learn about protecting our planet and all its amazing animals! Thank you for listening!

Hi everyone! Let's hear a cool story about Mr. Lin Temple!

A long, long time ago, a man named Shi Shi-bang and his friends wanted to bring water from a big river to the farms. This river was called the Zhuoshui River. But the river flowed too fast, and it was hard to get the water into the farms. It was a very big problem!

Then, a special person named Mr. Lin came. He was very smart! He showed them a clever way to get the water from the river into the farm fields. Because of Mr. Lin's help, the farms finally had enough water to grow food! This big water system was called the Babao Canal.

After that, people built the Mr. Lin Temple in Ershui to remember him. It's built right where the water from the canal splits into two paths.

Every year, people still go to the temple to say "thank you" to Mr. Lin for his amazing help.

So, Mr. Lin Temple tells us a story about a smart person who helped a lot of people! Thank you for listening!

在很久很久以前，一位名叫施世榜的人和他的朋友們想把一條大河的水引到農田裡。這條河叫做濁水溪。但是河水流得太快了，很難把水引到農田裡。這是一個非常大的難題！

後來，一位特別的林先生來了。他非常聰明！他向大家展示了一個聰明的方法，把河水引到農田裡。因為林先生的幫助，農田終於有足夠的水來種植糧食了！這個大的引水系統就叫做八堡圳。

在那之後，人們就在二水建造了林先生廟來紀念他。這座廟就建在運河的水分流成兩條小水路的那個地方。

每年，人們仍然會去廟裡向林先生說「謝謝」，感謝他提供這麼棒的幫助。

所以，林先生廟告訴我們一個關於一位聰明的人幫助了很多人的故事！

Hi everyone! Let me tell you about a super special festival in our town, Ershui! It's called the Water Running Festival!

Ershui is a small town with nice mountains, clean water, and lots of farms.

A long, long time ago, a smart man named Mr. Shi built a big water path called the Babao Canal. This canal brought water from the Zhuoshui River to help farmers grow food. But it was hard to get the water in!

Then, a kind man from Ershui, Mr. Lin, had a clever idea! He used big bamboo baskets filled with rocks to guide the water. His idea worked, and the canal became super successful! It was one of the most famous water projects in Taiwan!

To remember these helpful people, we have a special festival every year! It's called the Water Running Festival! It happens in November at the Babao Canal.

Before the fun starts, people say "thank you" to the old leaders. They put food and gifts on a table near the canal.

Then, a special leader wears a red headband and old-style clothes. He carries food on his head and runs right in the water! Other people follow him, running in the canal together!

A long, long time ago, the water was fast and deep, and it was a bit dangerous. But now, the water is low and safe, so more people can join the fun!

This festival is a way to say thank you to the people who built the canal and to teach us to remember where our water comes from.

It's one of Ershui's most exciting and special traditions!

後來，一位來自二水，心地善良的林先生想出了一個聰明的好辦法！他用裝滿石頭的大竹籠來引導水流。他的方法成功了，這條水圳變得非常成功！它成為臺灣最著名的水利工程之一！

為了紀念這些有幫助的人，我們每年都會舉辦一個特別的節慶！它就叫做跑水節！每年十一月會在八堡圳那裡舉辦。

在活動開始前，人們會向以前的先人們說「謝謝」。他們會在水圳旁邊的桌子上擺放食物和祭品。

然後，一位特別的領頭者會戴上紅色的頭巾，穿上傳統的衣服。他會把食物頂在頭上，然後直接在水裡奔跑！其他人會跟在他後面，一起在水圳裡跑！

很久很久以前，水流又快又深，有點危險。但是現在，水比較淺也比較安全了，所以更多人可以加入這個樂趣！

這個節慶是為了感謝建造水圳的人們，也教導我們要飲水思源。

它是二水最令人興奮和特別的傳統活動之一！

Hi everyone! Let's learn about a special train called Taiwan Sugar Train No. 345!

This small train came all the way from Belgium. We call it the "sugar train." It sits next to a bigger train called the "Queen of Steam." You can see how different they are in size!

Long, long ago, there was a sugar train line here in Ershui. These small trains carried sugar and other things to different places, even to Nantou County. It was how people from Nantou County could easily get to the south!

Trains are very important to Ershui! A long time ago, in Ershui, we had three different kinds of trains running here: the big main train, the Jiji Line train, and the sugar trains! This is why people in Ershui really love old trains!

Hi everyone! Come with me to 28 Water Park! It's just a short walk from Ershui Train Station.

Here, you'll meet a special "old friend" – the CT278 steam train! It's a very important train from Taiwan's history.

This CT278 train is super long, about 20 meters! It's mostly black and looks very cool. It used coal to make steam and was the fastest steam train in Taiwan, going up to 100 kilometers per hour! Because it was so big and strong, people called it the "Queen of Steam" or "Iron Giant"!

This train was the first fast passenger train on Taiwan's main railway line. Even presidents rode on it! It ran for 29 years, until 1982, when electric trains came. Now, it's here for us to remember.

You can look closely at its big boiler, the chimney, and the huge wheels. It's still a beautiful old train, kept very well. Come take pictures and learn about this amazing piece of history!
